This is an outstanding trip to one of Iceland’s most attractive areas, including the famous Geysir and Gullfoss, Skaftafell National Park, the Jökulsárlón glacier lake and the famous Laki volcano. Hike through stunning volcanic sceneries which give you breathtaking panoramic views over glaciers and spectacular mountain peaks. Transportation is in comfortable 4 wheel drive vehicles. In the evening one can relax in the pleasant and peaceful countryside Spa Hotel Laki, where you might enjoy the dramatic northern lights or the phenomenal midnight sun, decorating Iceland’s highest summit.
Is it for me?
This is an easy to moderate hiking adventure in the most beautiful landscape of south and south-east Iceland. You should be in good physical condition and enjoy hiking in various terrain. The hikes are between 2-5 hours each day, and the group makes many stops for both views and meals.

September 1st to May 31st: $1650/person

Accommodations:
Spend 5 nights at the Laki Hotel—a three star hotel built according to the most strict environmental standards, equipped with a spa section (Jacuzzis, steam baths and massage). Fantastic view from the hotel’s restaurant towards Iceland’s highest peak.
Meals:
All meals are included from lunch on Day 1 to lunch on Day 6.
Location:
This hiking adventure takes place in eastern and southern Iceland, starting with a visit to Gullfoss Waterfall and the Geysir region, followed by Skaftafell National Park and the Laki Volcano region. The trip starts and ends in Reykjavik.
