The most well known of all treks in Iceland, this paths leads us from the famous valley of Landmannalaugar, in the southern highlands, south to Thórsmörk valley, north of the great Eyjafjallajökull glacier. On the way we cross the third largest geothermal zone in the world, pass yellow rhyolite mountains, black deserts, great canyons and green valleys. Accommodation in comfortable mountain huts.

Is it for me?

This trip offers a moderate to challenging hiking experience, in varied terrain, with both climbs and descents. You should be in good physical condition and enjoy hiking in various terrain. You will carry a daypack during the days and your luggage is transported by vehicle. The hikes are between 5-7 hours each day, and the group makes many stops for both views and meals.

Inclusions:
4 nights of accommodations, all meals (except breakfast day one and dinner last day), transfer from/to Reykjavik, guides, cooking gear and transfer of luggage.

Not included:
Airfare, transportation to/from Reykjavik, pre or post trip accommodataions, personal purchases, travel insurance, alcoholic beverages or sleeping bag.

Meeting / Finishing Point:
Day 1: Early morning in Reykjavik at your hotel / Day 5: Afternoon in Reykjavik at BSI Bus Station.

Accommodations:
Spend 4 nights in simple mountain huts on a multi-share basis (several people in the same room) with shared facilities.

Meals:
All meals are included from lunch on Day 1 to lunch on Day 5.

Location:
This hiking adventure takes place in southern Iceland, in the Landmannalaugar region and Thorsmörk National Park. The trip starts in Reykjavik with a transfer to Landmannalaugar on Day 1, where you will start the hike. You return to Reykjavik in the afternoon of day 5.
