Rules Regarding Used Riding Equipment

A two-day tour in the area around Hveragerdi. During this tour, you discover the striking contrasts of Icelandic nature. The tour gives you a taste of both the magnificent landscape and good riding terrain. We have an opportunity to bathe in geothermal waters. During the winter, a part of the tour is a riding course at our farm. We provide information about the Icelandic horse from a historical perspective. Both participants' wishes and weather conditions determine the length of time we tour and stay at the farm.

Is it for me?

The horseback riding on this trip is rated easy. Beginners and advanced riders alike can enjoy this short but nice ride in the landscape surrounding Hveragerdi. It’s a great trip if you are short on time, or would just like to include a short horseback ride during your stay on Iceland. The total riding distance during the trip is approximately 45 kilometers.

Price:

$470/person

Inclusions:
1 night of accommodations, all meals, guides, horses and tack.

Not included:
Airfare, transportation to/from Reykjavik, pre and post trip accommodations, personal purchases, travel insurance and alcoholic beverages.

Starting / Finishing Point:
Day 1: Morning in Reykjavik / Day 2: Afternoon in Reykjavik

Accommodations:

Spend 1 night in a comfortable countryside eco hotel with private facilities.

Meals:
All meals are included from lunch on Day 1 to lunch on Day 2. Enjoy hearty and typical Icelandic meals.

Horses:
The horses are Icelandic Horses. They are small in size but very strong and personable. The The Icelandic horse is known for its stamina and comfortable running walk gait called tölt.

Location:
This horseback riding adventure takes place in southwestern Iceland, in the region around Hveragerdi. The trip starts and ends in Reykjavik with a transfer to Hveragerdi and the farm that will be your home for the duration of the tour. You return to Rekjavik in the afternoon of day 2, where the trip ends.
