DECEMBER 2005

We're finally back! What a busy fall we've had with updating the website, working on the new brochure and moving our headquarters to a new location! But we're so excited to finally let you know that our website is now completely updated for the 2006 season. You'll find a lot of familiar colors and features, but also a lot of new things such as:

- TONS of new pictures from this past summer all throughout the website!

- An updated Photo Gallery!

- All the new prices and dates for next year!

- New adventures in Iceland and Sweden!

- Past client feedback!

- A Media Page with articles written about our clients and press releases etc.!

We're also excited about our new brochure, which is now at the printers and should be available within the next week! It's bigger and better than last year, if we may say so ourselves, and we cant wait to share it with you! Because we're so close to the Holiday season, we've decided to wait with the mailing of the brochure and send them out the first week of January, just to make sure that they dont get thrown out with all the holiday catalogs! If you cant wait to plan your new trip, just send us an email and we'll mail the brochure to you as soon as possible!

We once again want to thank our past clients for a wonderful summer in Sweden! We are looking forward to another great year and another fantastic season in Scandinavia! In the upcoming newsletters of 2006, we'll share with you our memories from this past summer and hope that you can join us in the new year!

NEW ADVENTURES FOR 2006!

We've added some great new adventures for 2006! We're excited about sharing our new adventures and returning favorites with you! Here is a list of our new trips!

MULTI-ACTIVITY TRIPS:

Nordic Saga Adventure - 5 days / 4 nights - $670/person

Enjoy hiking, canoeing and horseback riding on this mini multi-activity adventure in Southern Sweden's highlands. We enjoy comfortable accommodations at a quaint and picturesque farm, and daily outings on foot, in canoes and on horseback, through the enchanted forests of this beautiful region.

Nordic Saga Journey - 5 days / 4 nights OR 6 days / 7 nights - $1040-1196/person

Do you like multi-activity adventure but prefer a bit of that wilderness experience to go with it? Then this trip is perfect! We journey through Southern Sweden's highlands, where we paddle sea kayaks, ride mountain bikes and paddle canoes while enjoying 2 nights of camping in the great outdoors. Add an optional day of horseback riding at the end of your stay!

HIKING TRIPS:

High Coast Self-Guided Hiking Adventure - 5 days / 4 nights OR 6 days / 5 nights - $595-$715/person

Hike part of the High Coast Trail on this self-guided adventure through the High Coast World Heritage Site of eastern Sweden's central coast. The trail takes you through a panoramic region with rewarding climbs and quaint accommodations. You hike at your own pace while your luggage is transported for you.

HORSEBACK RIDING TRIPS:

Nordic Saga Horseback Adventure - 5 days / 4  nights OR 7 days / 6 nights - $916-$1160/person

An old favorite returns in a new format! This year, choose from two different durations, and enjoy accommodations at a nice farm for the entire duration of the trip. We've taken out the "roughing it" and added a bit of comfort on this wonderful and unique horseback adventure.

Thórsmörk Horseback Adventure - 6 days / 5 nights - $995/person

Another wonderful adventure on horseback accross Iceland! This trip offers a bit shorter duration than the Icelandic Wilderness Horseback Adventure, and is also better suited for intermediate riders, since the daily riding distance is a bit shorter. We explore the colors and contrasts of Thórsmörk National Park in south central Iceland and experience the wide open vistas, free flowing rivers and enormous glaciers that this region has to offer.

ARCHIPELAGO SEA KAYAK ADVENTURE

Everyone was just great! Linda met us at our hotel and was a charming and informative first contact. Our guide, Jens, was absolutely wonderful and made us feel completely taken care of. We loved the days spent kayaking and learning about Sweden, Swedish and the archipelago. I had been concerned that I wouldn’t be able to manage the kayak well enough, but Jens helped me and made me feel competent and strong. It was a fabulous experience that left me with a heightened appreciation for both Sweden and the beauty and serenity provided by kayaking. Loved it!

ARCTIC SUMMER HIKING ADVENTURE

You provided us with great times, meeting of wonderful people also involved with your planning of the trips, tremendous food and unforgettable adventures.  You couldn't have provided us with better trips. We hadn't thought that returning to Sweden would remain near the top of our list of travels but it has.  Maybe we can have another adventure with you in a few years.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hut experience. Even though the hike there was challenging. We are happy that we did it as it was worth it.

HIGH COAST HORSEBACK ADVENTURE

I don't know if there are enough adjectives to describe our trip. Thanks to some excellent planning by you, we had a horse riding adventure that we will never forget. The Icelandic horses may be small but they are so strong,surefooted, fast, and gentle that we always felt completely confortable riding them. John and I both liked the fact that we could put our arms around their neck and hug them. It was a simple thing but very nice. The trails that we rode were all world class.  It's not possible to pick the best one. The views of the Baltic Sea,lakes and fjords were worthy of the area's World Heritage Site classification. Jenny and Jonas inspired us with their obvious care and concern for their horses and their guests. It was very easy to trust Jonas completely.  He did not put us in situations that threatened our safety.  Yet, some of the rides up the mountains were both challenging and exhilarating!!

LAKE VATTERN SELF-GUIDED BIKING ADVENTURE

Thanks for all the pre-trip planning and information Everyone treated us very well, and we feel that we gained weight from all the wonderful food. We liked all the places, food, and people, especially Bastedalen; an extra day there would have been great.
