Off the southeastern coast of Sweden, you'll find the beautiful island of Gotland. Dotted with windmills, sheep farms, picturesque villages and dramatic coast lines, a biking adventure on the island takes you through both history and magnificent nature. Start your biking adventure in the medieval town of Visby and pedal along quaint country roads as you make your way along the ocean of the eastern shore, passing the famous caves at Lummelunda and the Blue Lagoon on your way to the northern tip of the island. Take some time to explore the amazing sea-stacks along the coast. Next, head south along the western shore, passing quaint fishing villages and enjoy wonderful ocean views as you pedal all the way to the southern region. Maybe stop for a swim in the ocean before heading back to Visby.

Is it for me?
This is a challenging bicycle tour with long distances. Daily biking distance is between 32-92 km and the terrain is mostly flat. You set your own pace make as many stops as you like. It's recommended that you are recreational bicyclist in good shape.

9 days / 8 nights • 5 days of biking plus 2 free days

Transportation to/from Visby by bus/boat, pre and post trip hotel accommodations, personal purchases, travel insurance, alcoholic beverages.

Location:
This biking adventure takes place on the island of Gotland, located off the coast of southeastern Sweden. The trip starts and ends in Visby, which can be reached by boat from Nynäshamn (bus from Stockholm to Nynäshamn). Total travel time from Stockholm to Visby is approximately 5-6 hours. There is also an airport in Visby for those who wish to fly from Stockholm.
