SCANIA SELF GUIDED BIKING ADVENTURE - B&B BASED

In Sweden’s southern-most province of Scania, wide open countryside with colorful farmlands, fresh ocean air and picturesque villages await. With a comfortable base at a B&B in Simrishamn, guests enjoy daily excursions on bicycle to many of this regions highlights and sights. This eastern part of Scania is known as Österlen, and has long been a destination for relaxation for many of Sweden’s city folk. Explore sandy beaches, sleepy fishing villages, apple orchards, cider mills, medieval churches, impressive mansions, castles and ruins and take in the relaxed pace and atmosphere of Scania.

Is it for me?
The bicycling on this trip is rated easy to moderate. It’s recommended that you are recreational bicyclist in reasonably good shape. Pedal in flat to rolling terrain along the coast and through surrounding countryside. The daily distance is between 35-40km. You set your own pace make stops as you like.

Accommodations:
Spend 2-4 in double occupancy rooms with private facilities at a quaint, in-town B&B.

Meals:
Breakfasts are included with the B&B package. Lunch can be purchased along the way from local restaurants, delicacy shops, smoke houses and country stores. Enjoy typical Swedish dishes, local specialties and traditional breakfasts. The B&B also hosts a nice restaurant where you can choose to have dinner, or explore the other restaurant offerings around town.

Rental Bikes:
A quality 3-speed bike is included as well as a bike basket.
