Off the southeastern coast of Sweden, you'll find the beautiful island of Gotland. Dotted with windmills, sheep farms, picturesque villages and dramatic coast lines, a biking adventure on the island takes you through both history and magnificent nature. Start in the medieval city of Visby after taking a ferry from the mainland and browse through the quaint shops and restaurants or take a stroll below the historic wall surrounding the city center. Start your biking adventure and pedal along quaint country roads, taking in the fresh air as you make your way along the ocean of the eastern shore, across the middle of the island and over to the western shore. On the way, watch for wild Gotland ponies in the sanctuary at Lojsta moor and keep an eye out for sheep on the road! Discover amazing sea-stacks along the coast and stop for a swim in the ocean before heading back to Visby.

Is it for me?
This is a leisurely bicycle tour with easy and mostly flat terrain. Daily biking distance is between 30-45 km. You set your own pace make as many stops as you like. It's recommended that you are recreational bicyclist in reasonably good shape.

Location:
This biking adventure takes place on the island of Gotland, located off the coast of southeastern Sweden. The trip starts and ends in Visby, which can be reached by boat from Nynäshamn (bus from Stockholm to Nynäshamn). Total travel time from Stockholm to Visby is approximately 5-6 hours. There is also an airport in Visby for those who wish to fly from Stockholm.
