COUNTRYSIDE MANOR ADVENTURE

When captain Axel Johan Uggla aquired Sikfors Mill in 1797 he built a completely new manor at the north end of the lake Sörälgen. In 1849 the manor was completed and it's still there today, like a pearl in the beautiful region "Bergslagen" in central Sweden. It's a place for stimulating the soul and getting back to nature, where a down-to-earth and homey feeling prevails and you can listen to the most beautiful sound of all - silence.

Spend a few days at this beautiful lakeside manor and recharge your batteries with close-to-nature activities and culinary adventures. Enjoy a naturalist adventure with guide Aulis and get to know the real Bergslagen nature. Learn to cook in the manor kitchen and stir up local flavors with gourmet flair. Test your luck at fishing for perch and pike in the lake with either flies or rod. But most of all, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, the fresh air and the relaxing atmosphere.

Is it for me?
This trip is rated easy and you don't need any prior experience in any of the activities. Activities include a guided day in nature with hiking and educational adventures in geology, flora and fauna, a day of cooking and a day of guided fishing.
