Discover the Laponia World Heritage Site in an adventurous and different way both by foot and kayak. Enjoy fresh mountain air and great food, based on local produce and stay in comfortable rooms in the wilderness. This trip focuses on genuine experiences in Lapland nature and culture. Saltuloukta mountain station, at the base of the mountain is our base for a few days in the World Heritage Site of Laponia and surrounding areas. Enjoy inspiring activities such as hiking through wide open vistas and kayaking on crystal clear glacial lakes. The food is an important part of this trip, and therefore we focus on well-prepared meals based on local Lapland delicacies. Your guides have long experience in the regions history and culture, which they will share with you during a few days of adventure in Laponia.

Is it for me?
This trip is rated intermediate. You don't need any prior experience in any of the activities, but you should have good swimming skills (you should be able to swim at least 50 meters) and be in good physical shape. You will be outside and active between 4-6 hours each day.

Transportation to/from Luleå , pre and post trip hotel accommodations, personal purchases, travel insurance, alcoholic beverages.

Meeting / Finishing Point:
Day 1: Afternoon in Luleå / Day 5: Mid-day in Luleå .

Accommodations:
Enjoy 2 nights in a comfortable mountain lodge and 2 night in a cozy hotel.

Meals:
All meals are included from lunch on Day 1 to lunch on Day 5. Enjoy Lapland delicacies and local specialties with great wilderness flair at the lodge restaurant, famous for their wonderful cuisine.

Location:

This trip takes place in the mountains of northern Sweden in Lapland province, on the outskirts of Laponia World Heritage Site. The trip starts and ends in Luleå on northern Sweden's eastern coast. Luleå can be easily reached by train or flight from Stockholm.
