Discover skijoring on this fun weekend adventure in the far north of Sweden, close to the Polar Circle. With a little help from fury, four-legged Husky friends, you explore this winter wonderland with never ending expanses of wilderness on cross country skis. These weekend adventures offer a sincere chance to get away from civilization for a while, come closer to nature and experience the real wilderness. Winter brings out the natural phenomenon of northern lights which are an amazing sight. Spend your days exploring on skis and your nights in a cozy hotel in Umnäs.

Is it for me?
This trip is rated intermediate. You should be in good physical condition and you should know how to ski and have done it a couple of times. 1-2 dogs pull you on skis—you can use skating skis or a heavier ski made for cross-country skiing in the mountains. You have a belt around your waist and a rope with an expanding function to the dog/dogs. If you like dogs, skiing and to be out in the nature this is something you have to try. You can’t find more fun way to cross-country ski!

All meals are included from lunch on day 1 to lunch on day 4. Enjoy delicious Lapland specialties like smoked reindeer and moose in hot soups and stews and plenty of hearty dishes to keep you warm and energized.

Location:
This skijoring adventure takes place in the mountains of southern Lapland. The nearest airport is in Hemavan, and transportation is provided from the airport. The flight from Stockholm takes about 2,5 hours. You can also travel by train and bus, if you wish to experience some beautiful Swedish country side on the way.
