Who is Svea Adventures?

Linda

Linda started Svea Adventures in May of 2004, after many years of dreaming about and planning for her own adventure company. She’s worked for pack trip outfits, dude ranches and different tour operators, prior to embarking on her own adventure. Linda’s goal with Svea Adventures is to share the untouched and unexplored gems of Scandinavia, while committing to sustainable and responsible business practices and doing her share to make the travel industry think more “green”.

Alex

Alex is Linda’s better half, and helps out around the office and at trade shows, when he’s not studying his true passion – cars. Alex has an extensive background in the outdoors, ranging from extreme snowboarding and downhill biking, to exciting backcountry hikes and adventures off the beaten path.

Svea Adventures works with some fantastic companies throughout Sweden and Iceland. Below, you'll meet some of the people you may be seeing on one of your trips:

Olle & Anette

Olle is a true character! We’ve yet to see someone more passionate about what he does and about his horses! Olle and Anette run Saga Adventures and Kalvefall Farm in southern Sweden’s highlands, and Olle has been guiding trail rides for as long as he can remember. Together they operate the Nordic Saga adventures. Olle is a true wilderness guide, and has a background in teaching wilderness survival skills. He’s also one heck of a gourmet chef, and grabbed the first runner up spot in a recent wilderness chef cook-off!

Ola & Elin

Far up north, in the county of Jämtland, not far from the border to Norway, you’ll find a unique Viking lodge. Ola built this lodge with his own hands, and the experience that awaits you here is truly phenomenal. Ola and Elin operate the Raven’s Eye Horseback and Hiking adventures, and take pride in showing you their mountains and valleys, while breathing the fresh air and taking in the panoramic views.

"I had been concerned that I wouldn’t be able to manage the kayak well enough, but Jens helped me and made me feel competent and strong. It was a fabulous experience that left me with a heightened appreciation for both Sweden and the beauty and serenity provided by kayaking. Loved it!"
